Hi, Yana and Murilo!

Don’t know who I am? I’m you, a few months from now.

I’m writing now because the year is coming to an end, and this is that time when we take stock, even without realizing it.

I know this year had it all: good days and tough days, achievements, changes in direction, some losses, and adjustments that came little by little. I just wanted to remind you of one simple thing: you did the best you could with what you had. And that’s already a lot.

I also came to thank you for choices that seemed small: saying “yes” to a break, traveling with more mindfulness, trading an overbooked schedule for real time. That’s when things started to get lighter.

Today I remember places through details: smells, light, conversations, laughter, and peaceful silence. Some photos turned out beautiful, others blurry… And that’s okay. The best memories aren’t found in any photo album.

Time passes anyway. The difference is what we choose to do with it. If you’re in doubt, I’ll tell you with confidence: build memories. In the end, that’s what stays with us.

With love,
Yana and Murilo — after they went off to explore the world.
